How to clean and care for your boards

After you are done using your board you should clean it by rinsing it with warm water, hand wash it with soap and dry it after each use. Do not immerse it in water or place it inthe dishwasher. To store your board, keep it on its edge in a way that will allow water to drip off of it and away from extreme temperatures.

Everyboard comes with a complete coat of oil and wax but to keep your board looking new I recommend applying cutting board oil and butcher block conditioner about every 6 months or whenever your board is feeling dry. To start, wash your board and completely dry your board. Pour out a small amount of oil and let it completely soak into the wood, do this to all of the sides. Once the board has absorbed the oil remove any excess and repeat with the butcher block conditioner. Although this is not mandatory I strongly recommend at least applying a food safe mineral oil to the board and if you are only able to put one coat of finish on the board try and use the butcher block conditioner. You can also repeat this with any other worn out cutting boards you may have to put a little bit of life back into them.
